Artists / Goncharova Katherina
Katherine Goncharova was born in Kishinev, the capital of Moldova, in 7th July, 1986. She finished Kharkov Art Lyceum at Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. She has been a student of the Academy since 2003 in Restoration of Easel and Mural Painting. She actively takes part in regional, all-Ukrainian and International art exhibitions. Her works are on display in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, France, USA, United Arab Emirates and Israel. She has created more then two hundred graphic works, paintings and icons, restored more then 15 different works of 19 - 20th centuries (oil painting, watercolor, mural painting, tempera, gouache).
She also takes part in research studies and conferences.

Her creative work is of a paramount importance for Katherine Goncharova. The idea that emerges as one gazes at her art is that everything in this world is in intrinsic interaction in the Universum. Every image in her creative work is marked with a holistic approach, characteristic of a child’s perception of the world around.
Openness and sensuality permeate every part of Katherine’s works forming, together with ‘lightness’, if not ‘transparence’, her unique artistic medium. While the manifested and unerring graphic line creates a certain plot of her drawing, it is accompanied by an elaborate scheme of tints and shades to add to the artistic impression. All these make her works easily recognizable.
The artistic society “Insight”
Imagination and insight exist through logic, though it cannot explain them explicitly.
The artistic society “Insight” is a group of artists whose beliefs of creativity are based on the notion of inspired perception. Insight, anticipation, intuitive perception or creative imagination are all parts of a single entity in the process of synthesis of new knowledge, which is derived from reflections on certain evident facts. Insight involves the spontaneous combination of a number of isolated units, which result in new experiences. Insight is a creative idea dawned by Archimedes when he leaped from bath and shouted: “Eureka!” (“I have found it!”). Insight is sometimes bestowed to the artist when something of emotional importance albeit, not definite to consciousness, becomes the content of imagination. Transferring impressions into artistic images is an intrinsic feature of artists who aspire to beauty and whose aim is the perfection of everything.
The artists of our society inexhaustibly create new paintings, graphics and sculptural works, which are all stamped with their unique individuality.
In fact, insight and intuitive grasping is part and parcel of any creative process. An ingenious person can arrange an astonishing melody simply out of separate phrases and he is also able to create new constellations and worlds by simply gazing at them.
The idea of our society has come into the world when we, beholding our pieces of art, all of a sudden decided to unite in order to exhibit our works together.
