Artists / Kozokov Ortikali Ortikali Kozokov is Uzbek painter living in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In his art works, Kozokov combines realistic style of painting together with avant-garde directions.
Kozokov's paintings were successfully exhibited in many international and republican exhibitions.
In 1991, Kozokov had a successful personal exhibition in Washington, USA, Moscow(Russia, 1994), Izmir(Turkey, 1995), Lubek (Germany 1997), Nagano (Japan 1999) and so on. Kozokov's works are kept in many galleries and private collections in the U.S.A., France, Italy, Japan, U.K., Spain, Belgium, Turkey, Cyprus, Morocco, Canada, Israel, Netherlands, South Korea and other countries.
Kozokov's highly artistic picturesque pictures are presented in interiors of such prestigious establishments as the President residence of Republic Uzbekistan "Durman", the Uzbek State Museum of Arts, Agency of Exhibitions of Art of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic Uzbekistan, offices of the World Bank and the International bank of reconstruction and development, embassies of Uzbekistan in Japan, Germany and the USA, office of Company " Coca-Cola ", the Uzbek State committee on protection of the nature, in senate Oliy Majlis.
Also, Kozokov's works are kept in private collections of former first lady of France Madam Mitterand, former U.S. Counselor to the Department of Commerce Jan Kalicki, former director of Organization on Intellectual Property, Arpad Bogsh, and many other reputable private collections.
In 1994 the first catalogue of Artist which is devoted to his creativity has been published. The calalogue illustrates his selected works in realistic and avant-garde directions. Later, in 1998, another colorful, richly illustrated album-catalogue " ORTIKALI KOZOKOV ", published on the Uzbek and English languages in "Sharq" publishing house.
Uzbektelefim shot a documentary about Kozokov's life and art works. The film was released in 2006 and shows a childhood places of Kozokov, his daily life, his teachers and so on.
Ortikali Kozokov was awarded with several certificates of honour and diplomas of Uzbekistan and other foreign countries.. In 1996 on a world exhibition in Bangladesh was awarded with a special prize.
In October 1997 the artist was awarded with the highest prize - Gold Medal by the Arts Academy of Uzbekistan. In 1997 he was awarded with the highest award of country by the decree of President - “The Distinguished Artist of Republic of Uzbekistan”.
